How do you review?

We’ve been up and running for over 1 year now so we’ve loads of reviews, well over 1,000 in fact.
People review places in different ways. Some write long reviews, some short, some focus on the people who provide the service, some focus on the quality of the product.
We love all types of reviews, and appreciate every contribution you make to our humble little Northern Ireland website. But if you’re stuck on what to write or how to write it, here are some ideas.
Break it down
Break your review down into separate paragraphs and focus on one thing per paragraph:
- Product (e.g. food) – good quality?
- Service (e.g. staff) – friendly? Helpful?
- Environment/brand – well kept? Clean?
- Cost – value for money?
- Experience – the overall experience. Did you come away feeling happy and satisfied?
Examples
Davymac finishes off his reviews with a list of things he liked and didn’t like so you can get the just of his review at a glance.
AlanInBelfast does a great job of breaking up his reviews into paragraphs, making his reviews easy to read and going into lots of detail.
Sensei thanks the staff directly in her reviews by mentioning the name(s) of the people she dealt with. A great way to give someone a pat on the back for the good work.
How do you write your reviews and have you any tips?
