Training Consultancy in Belfast
Who are Sensei Learning and Performance? Allen and Dawn Baird. Our background is mixed. Allen worked for a number of community projects, and also as a Tutor in the School of Education with Queens University Belfast. Dawn has worked mainly in the private sector. Following stints as a Trainer, Training Co-ordinator and Technical Writer, she has also settled on the freelance route. Together they make up Sensei Learning and Performance, a training consultancy, based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
What does Sensei mean?
Well, first of all, we need to teach some people how to say it! Say [sen-say]. Anyone remember The Karate Kid? Mr Miyagi was the ‘sensei’ or teacher who mentored his protégé to a high level of expertise in his chosen craft. That’s our training model.
Training, Coaching, Writing and Consulting
We offer four core services: Training, Coaching, Writing and Consulting. We start with what you tell us and design the product around you. We know you’re not interested in conveyor-belt style training, and neither are we. Seriously.
How is Sensei Learning and Performance different?
Dawn says, “We don’t do off-the-shelf!” Allen says, “We make learning a pleasure.” Some of our events have attracted media attention from as far away as Denmark and Australia.
