What does it mean to be number one in your town?
Best of Bangor

The percentages you see represent the click throughs i.e. 12% of people clicked through to Makhulu 5

As you can see it makes a big difference being first, or even in the top three.

Interesting stats Lee. What size is the sample though – it is statistically significant i.e. how many and/or over what period? (Not trying to be funny, but I try to be a sceptic of all online stats unless they have some validity – for all the reader knows, you figures above might be for a period of 5 mins on a Monday morning! I’m sure that’s not the case, but it’d be reassuring to know how it was sampled.)
Darryl, just being helpful!
Hi Darryl, these screenshots were taken over a 1 month period. I guess since we’re looking at the benefits of top spot and since positioning changes regularly, 1 week would have been enough, or even 1 day.
If I look at the last week, Makhulu 5 is 12%, Jumpin Java 5.9% and Papa Joes 5.9%. So it roughly stays the same, until of course the top spot changes.
